Off to the (Hopper) Races!

Chupzi Lema’s MS Creative Computing is off to the (Hopper) races as students design multiple prototypes to discover the most effective way to move a robot without wheels.

In this hands-on class, students prototype legs and get ready to race against their peers. Middle Schoolers build essential STEM skills while collaborating to solve real-world problems.

With step-by-step instruction on programming behaviors, students tackle challenges that allow them to apply their knowledge of motion in meaningful ways. Working in partnerships, they create their robots and then edit the code to accomplish specific tasks—making this class a refreshing departure from coding-heavy projects.

And in her first year at the school, Chupzi has already immersed herself in the community by coaching MS Soccer and leading the new frisbee club!
